There are probably a million threads about this but does anyone have recommendations on an aftermarket exhaust. I'm looking for a deep rumble, nothing obnoxious

I hate to break it to you, but there is no deep rumble with our V6 engines. I tried a lot of stuff and now I'm just back to stock exhaust.

It started with an electric exhaust cutout with the stock system, that sounded like crap. Then I went to the Flowmaster 50 series. It sounds fine, but I didn't like the Asian car sound it had. Not quite deep enough to sound like a truck. So then I added a resonated tip and that helped a tiny bit, but I just got tired of it after a while and went back to a stock system. So yeah, having tried a few different combos I would say just stay stock of you want to stay away from that slightly ricey sound.

I’ve got a flow master 50 and I know what @Ccrames2018 means, but I think it’s acceptably only slightly Asian-car-sounding. It’s grown on me. Maybe look into the trd exhaust.

+1 for flowmaster 50. Maybe even a little bigger muffler like the trd exhaust. I didn't like the way it sounded when I went with a smaller muffler

Black Widow Venom 250 does the job for me. It's got a nice growl to it that is not obnoxious and does not drone.

Before that I had an Aero Turbine 2525XL resonated. It had a nice tone to it as well, but I eventually took it off because I wanted a different tone. I am contemplating throwing it away since no one wants it and it's just collecting dust useless space in the garage.

12TRDTacoma if you are just going to throw out the exhaust, you might as well ship it to me

    OP,
Been searching for a good sound myself for over a year, while the Gibson sounds decent at idle, it gets ricer car at higher rpm, plus the cab noise, even the TRD starts to sound weedy at high rpm. I’m not 100% sure but it has more to do with how the heads are cut I’m thinking and the length and routing of the pipe. I heard a v6 mustang with an exhaust get on it the other day, sounded great until it got right close to redline... got a bit ricer car at the higher rpm. Have yet to hear anything like that on the Tacoma.

Still searching, may need to just experiment myself with different size tubes and mufflers..
