The shocks were monroe quick struts, already came already preassembled and looked fine (this is my 2nd time using the monroes) when putting it in. You mean the little guy in the circle right? If that's what you meant, I think it's the angle of the shot.

Well, @Hamer95USA was raving about a shop in Fremont. I checked out the reviews and all seem great. I might go see him :crapstorm: ....looks like I might find an easy way out:bananadance::spending::yes: ...let's see what Anson has to say.

I do have a regular mechanic I go to...I just feel he rushes too much (I know time is money but) sometimes. We'll see

I'm glad you found Anson's Auto Repair shop. I had him perform a clutch/carrier bearing replacement/front & rear differentials service, a 3.4L V6 engine swap (130K miles on it), and smogged my truck. Saved my truck from the junkyard or parting it out on Craig's List. It runs smoothly and I get better gas mileage with the MAF sensor being replaced before I had it smogged. Having all those parts replaced & the labor wasn't cheap, but my truck runs like new again.

It's nice to have a reliable & honest mechanic to go to who's experienced, if you don't have the time to do the work yourself, and uses OEM parts.

I don't really have time to do the work...You know how it is in the bay area that reliability is at a premium. I found him through your post so thank you :broccoli:

I'm glad that I can help out someone on this forum. Not everyone is mechanically inclined or has as much time to do repairs/upgrades/mods on their trucks on weeknights or the weekends, especially with work/family & social life. I don't have the knowledge or experience to do a complete transmission service, engine swap, or smog like Anson can, so I was fine with letting him do my truck repairs. Anson is a former Acura dealership mechanic who started his own auto repair business.
