I got 256k on my 01 right now and I’ve been changing every 5k. Is there really a need to change it more frequently? Or is there anything else I should be checking around this time? Runs fine right now. :mudding:

5k is good. As long as all your maintenance is current your good to go. When I bought my 2nd gen a couple years ago my first gen has 400k on it. Ran great just wanted the bigger 2nd gen.

I figured 5k was reasonable so that’s good to hear. Next will be all the front suspension components that I don’t have money for right now lol. Thanks

5k is very reasonable with any modern oil, conventional or synthetic. If you want to collect a sample and send it off for a used oil analysis you can find an even bigger interval to do changes on if you wish

I think your driving style or maybe use of the vehicle .

My one 3.4 gets used for short trips maybe 10 miles with 5 or more stops that one gets changed more often if I waited till 3000 miles it would be about 3 years.Around every 3 months or so

My other one is more normal about 200 miles each time it gets used I change that between 3 and 4 thousand
