    At $3/bag of Samosa, it wouldn't be expensive. The beer on the other hand..... :anonymous:

    It's starting to smell like an Indian restaurant in my house and I haven't even started on the masala lol.

    I think I might use my turmeric-stained out for that. I normally make a spicy Punjab-style yellow curry, so this is my first attempt at masala.... Aaaand I'm out of tomato paste. :annoyed::facepalm:

    Custom Indian hybrid food it is...

    Whole milk and saffron prep for the basmati rice coming later. Also, prepped the pan with clarified butter (or Ghee as it's called in India/Pakistan)
    (Lodge 10" cast iron pan I'm trying to break in)

    The inside walls reached a blazing 954 degrees F...

    Air temp at the center of the oven. Made it past the 900f mark. Needed to cook tandoori chicken

    And this is with about 4 first size chunks of lump charcoal

    Legit awesome! I'm not there yet. I've made a yellow chicken curry with guidance from my Pakistani friend maybe 20-30 times, but I want to branch out into more Indian/Pakistani dishes.

    A bit of lump charcoal. The drain holes in the base of the flower pots are the main source of air... sure I can get it hotter with better airflow.

    That's the way to do it. I remember watching naan and rice and potato curries being made on the fire almost the same way in Afghanistan
