Currently, I'm working on upgrading the front suspension on my 2010 Tacoma. Things have been going smoothly until it came to assembling the new Bilstein 6112s with the stock upper mounts. One of the upper mounts isn't sitting as flat as the other now that the tension is released from the spring compressor. Will this be an issue? Will the mount shift and work its way into perfect place once installed back on the truck?

The assembly has new washers and bushings on the top and the bottom. The only part that was reused was the OEM steel mount and rubber spring catch.

Attached is an image of each upper mount. The mount on the right side is the one in question.

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...
Can you compress the spring and try to reposition and re-seat the mount ?

I could, however, would need to take it back to the shop. It required a wall mounted compressor to get the springs small enough. Would running it like this damage anything?

Just leave it alone. It's fine.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I ended up leaving it and everything has been fine after the install was finished.
