Double Din Iphone XS Compatibility and DNX574S

I have been looking to install a Double Din unit on my 08 and was wondering if there is a unit compatible with the new Iphones. There is a new DNX574S on FB for $250 but from what I can tell it does not support the newer Iphones.

 

I just installed a DNX574S in my taco. I have an iPhone XR. They work perfectly together.

 

Thats odd kenwood customer service told me apple car play won't work on the dnx 574s

 

It’s not wireless car play, but apple car play does indeed work with USB. Waze, podcasts, etc all work fine on mine. I can get you pics tomorrow if you want to be 100% sure.

 

If kenwood says it doesn't work, they're playing it safe.

That model is now over 2yrs old. With how many updates our phones get yearly its hard to guarantee it will work "flawlessly".

Definitely check Kenwoods website for updates, if you decide to go with this unit(you need to use a windows based computer).
