I placed a Stainless Steel close nipple (a little over an inch long) underneath the back of the seat mount - for both drivers and passengers seats.
I then needed longer bolts. So I found Grade 8 (10.9) 65mm 10x1.25 fine thread bolts for the length. The whole conversion was about $20 plus the running around. The unbolting and bolting took less than 10 minutes. It DEFINITELY is helpful to loosen the front bolts to make darn sure you don’t cross thread the new bolts.
What a huge difference in comfort. I wouldn’t be posting this if the difference was minor. My back was killing me during any drive of more than one hour. I could also feel it starting to bug me after 15 or 20 minutes. I am 5’11” and 155lbs. Definitely in good shape. This seat was killing me! Not anymore. 1” seems perfect. I can see much better over the front of the truck and I feel more like I did in my Gen1. Not sunken down and passive, more upright and alert/comfortable.
Here are a few pics. So far I really like this easy mod. I was actually considering a 2020 due to the discomfort of this seat, but not anymore.

I understand that the height increase is huge. But that spacer is way too small in diameter. I would strongly suggest getting something much bigger or taking a hard look at @7r41lbr34k3r 's shaped spacers.

I have 1.5in ones on my passenger seat foe my wife's comfort.

Well this thread is convenient. Right now I sell up to 1", anything greater requires an extension to get up to 2", which is stupid expensive until there is more interest in 1"+ to justify the raw material purchase.

I was hoping to offer up to 1.5" on a single piece of material, but interest kinda faded (to be fair I also went into hiding).I digress...

If I can get 5 people in on a new size I can make it happen at the same cost of my 1" pair of spacers (for now).

I can appreciate that a larger spacer might fill the gap around the carpet better, but as far as function goes. The spacer I have is 100% fine. The bolt is taking all the shear force. The spacer just lifts the bracket up. It’s no stronger or weaker with a larger spacer unless the spacer was so tiny that it didn’t support the original seat rail/bolt hole set-up.

Sorry, but that is not true.

Yes. The stock config only takes shear loads. Once you add a spacer, it is seeing shear and bending. Bending is a much larger factor. With a small diameter spacer, you also have to factor in prying, which is a larger factor than bending.

So, like I originally said, please grab a larger diameter spacer. If you want the good looks to go with it, grab @7r41lbr34k3r 's shaped spacers. I originally had large diameter spacers and didn't like the look when getting in.

    Just my opinion.
