Yep, as @replica9000 pointed out it, it is all in that link. Best halogen setup is using the H11 GE Xenon +120 (+130s are slightly lower performing but much cheaper) or modifying the Philips H9 bulb for use in the low beam. Check out the 2nd post in that thread for the updated halogen info with the 3rd Gen recommendations:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...11-projector-headlights.589465/#post-19689309

The Osram SuperBright 100/90w from the original post are the recommended bulb with the harness. There were 2 bulbs in the original post, the 85/80w Hyper and the 100/90w Superbrights. The Hypers are better, but also no longer available. The IPF Fatboy bulbs do slightly better on low beam than the Superbrights, but their price is absurd and they have a stock low beam vs the Superbrights high powered high beam. You can see the comparison in the lux chart in the lower part of the original post.

Approximately 15%. Swap Nightbreaker +150 for Philips Racing Vision +150 for even better results. The real advantage for the harness is going to higher wattage bulbs.

This is a bit abstract but in H11
    Nightbreaker +150 < GE +130

    In H4
    GE +130 < Philips +150

So I would recommend the Philips +150 as the best stock wattage low beam. See the lux chart in the original post and they are the highest output for stock wattage. Going to high wattage Osrams has greater output than Philips +150.

Hey guys, looking for a little help. I have the Rally Lights harness and last night both of my headlights stopped working at the same time. Both high and low beams. I unplugged the harness and put the factory connections back on and everything works. I have checked the fuse and relays on the harness and everything looks good. Any thoughts on what else my be causing the harness to not work?

The only parts to fail on the harness are the harness fuse and the relays. How did you check the relays? And did you try replacing the fuse?

I checked the resistance on the relays and listened for the click by manually activating the relay. I also tried replacing the relays with a spare set. Did not fix the problem. I replaced the fuse as well. I couldn’t think of anything else either.

Did some more testing this morning with a volt meter. I’m getting power all the way to plugs on the harness both high and low. So, I’m pretty sure the harness is good. Is there some other circuit that would be completed with the stock harness plugged in and not the upgraded harness?

If you had good power, maybe your negative terminal on the harness came loose? The relays and the fuse are the only real failure points, assuming you didn’t chafe through some wires. Otherwise it would be having a solid positive and negative connection to the battery.

Hey guys. Figured I’d let y’all know I’m getting out of my 1st gen Tacoma, so I’ll have no reason to keep my spare headlight bulbs I bought.

I have 4 Osram 100/90w bulbs I’d be willing to part with NIB.

I also have a set of the highly sought after Osram 85/80w Hypers I’d sell for 2 arms and a leg ;) :D. They are lightly used. I had them in for a few weeks before I learned about the 100/90w headlights. I didn’t know the 85/80s were actually a better bulb. The filaments still look brand new. I was waiting for my current 100/90s to die to use them, but they haven’t died yet.

    This thing.

And after driving with the 100/90s for a few years, I’m dissatisfied with what passes for headlights in the new truck. I sent you a PM to see your recommendations on what I can do to improve it.
