Looking for some recommendations of a shop to do the 3rd gen (maybe 2nd gen too?) exhaust re-route to get rid of that low-hanging nonsense that Toyota gave us before I order my trans skid. If I remember correctly there was an exhaust shop in Scottsdale that everyone really liked for this job and the cost was $100 out the door?

This interest me as well, such a dumb way they routed the exhaust.

Awesome, has he done these reroutes or just a general muffler shop recommendation? I’m hoping to use someone that has done them several times so I don’t have to go through what they need to do and deal with showing them a bunch of forum pictures.

@TACOVRD i think mentioned performance muffler as well. I’m looking to do the same soon. Note that he has a 2nd gen, but the concept is essentially the same for the third gens as well

    Workin' on it....
Yeah I brought my skids with me when I had Performance Muffler do the re-route so there were no issues with clearance on anything.

    They did fantastic work.

Scottsdale Muffler and Automotive. Believe mine was $60. Only took a few hours. I have full RCI skids and no clearance issues at all.

I went back a second time for a RE re-route because I was not initially happy with how close the new pipe was to the transfer case. Shop did the second job for free. Owner seemed like a really cool guy.

They are actually not Avid. They are made by a local guy in Mesa. There are mixed opinions about their mounting to the frame (individual angles for each of 4 legs and all holes need to be drilled) but so far I’ve had no problems and I’ve beaten on them pretty hard.
