A few years ago I went in with a couple of my son's buds to buy/finance an old 4th gen Maxima 5 speed for another one of their buds who wanted a 5 speed. They are almost non-existent now days. So $700 for running one wasn't too bad. I didn't go with them to buy it. This particular car needed a clutch. They trailered the car home and put it on the patio for the clutch job. Naturally, I get a new project to get it going. They said the people they bought it from looked kind of methy. Oh hell. So when I got under the car, it was clear they had started to replace the clutch on their own and tried to put everything back together. Every damn bolt was cross-threaded or was using an SAE. It took several days and a trip to the salvage yard to get it straightened out. The clutch job worked out and it's still running today. I'm telling you that was the craziest mess that I've ever seen. That one should have been a pass.

I know on the Cruisers the window and lock switches are rebuildable. The tacos they aren't?

Guess not. That's a bummer. I guess it helps relieve the frustration I sometimes get with my arm crank windows in the taco.

So has anybody been up close and personal with a new Ranger yet? Or know much about them? They gonna be a serious truck to go up against Tacoma? Tacoma is best selling mid-size for 12 or 13 yrs in a row or something like that

I use to not like them because poor quality but now it's just more of a make me sad thing lol that Discos and Rovers are such crap because they have been some of the best looking suvs ever made. That sucks man. They're really really cool looking, I'm okay admitting that stuff now:D

Really? The LR4 actually isn't a bunch of problems packaged as an SUV? That would be an honest first for a Rover product

It's good to hear an actual positive experience someone had with one. I'll be curious to see how they hold up for reliability at the 100k+, 200k+ etc higher mileage range

The good thing is you don't need a 12k winch in the taco like we needed in those pig Cruisers, I still just ran a Warn 8k.
That Superwinch should be plenty for anything you come across

I've seen a few start to pop up around my area. Though none have been driven by males. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

Lol, that's weird. I've seen 2 or 3 on the road and they were guys driving, lol. I'm curious what a Tacoma fan's take would be on it. Having driven it a bit, not couple weeks. I'm sure we'll hear soon enough

Fuck reading the stock parts list that’s possibly coming with that is insane. You can say ”i only buy oem parts when something breaks” and get a warn winch and icon suspension lmao
