Somewhere between Heaven and Narnia I'd guess. That trail looks magical!

Tidal Wave -> Mid Mountain -> Spiro is a most excellent XC adventure if you want more than just downhill flow.

Undertow at DV is awesome flowy goodness, as well.

Man, I really miss that place...

Haven't been up there to sample Undertow yet, but I guess I have to now!

Pinecone to Spiro is the greatest PC flowy decent there is though. Wasn't melted out when you were here though.

You can do Tidal Wave and Undertow in a single long flowy run from top to bottom at DV. (It just requires some minor climbing in between)

    It's glorious.

Evercrisp is brand new (opened 2 weeks ago), short trail(4.2 miles). its dusty, dry, loose for 2/3 of the trail, but in the tree's/shade its hero dirt.

As for above 9k' its finally melting off, still snow in shaded areas but coming around quickly. depending on how fall weather goes it may be a short summer for us. last year was a far-below avg year for snowpack, so we still have the same amount of snow up high now as we did in march 18'

Well... he's on a Specialized, so that's half your answer right there. Friends don't let friends buy or ride "S".

I don't disagree. But where's that derive from?

We all know they've got the most money, best R&D, and great quality bikes. Is it the LBS and obscure brand pride that cycling loves so much?

They are the most Corporate and litigious overreach bike company to ever exist. If they feel threatened at all by a new brand, technology, etc... they sue the pants off the person or company, then steal the design, copyright it into their brand and re-label it as their own. Their target demographic is the consumer that doesn't want to do research on bikes and just buys based on a brand name that's visible and seen often.

I rode trails in VA this past weekend with a new rider that had just popped a good chunk of his last paycheck into a Hardrock and that bike was a disaster... the fork was a pogo spring, the brakes took nearly a full hamfisted hand to get the bike to stop, he bent a wheel on a root within the first mile of trail, and was literally ready to just say "F" it until me and my buddy took pity and let him ride each of our bikes on the next sections of trail to reassure him how a real MTB should feel and ride. He was both astounded and pissed at the same time. He felt like he'd been swindled out of his money. I told him to ride the wheels off of it and just buy another after seeking some input from us before he shelled out more dough.

I mean, they sued a flippin' coffee shop for using the word Roubaix in their name...

The only lawsuit I believe they lost for copyright infringement was to Stan's no Tubes.

I had a Stumpy as my first bike. It was alright, but once I went to my Bronson, I saw what a bike COULD be. Got back on my stumpy before i sold it and I also realized how small their frames are. Felt like I was on a dirt jumper compared to the SC.

You hit the nail on the head right there... Colorado feels worse every year, I moved to Boulder in 2007 and loved it back then, but moved to Summit in 2011 and some days in the summer I can't hardly leave my house, it gets gridlocked in the little towns up here. Infrastructure is just not up to the task of all the people that come play here. I'm looking for a milder winter than I get up here, sounds like Bend is for sure a place to check out. I thought about Missoula too but after living in a place where the population is really transient (Boulder, Breckenridge) it would be nice to go somewhere where there is some stability in the population for sure.
