San Antonio

It was my first (at least on purpose) and quite fun. The new rear will take care of the three times I noticed loss of traction, but I never sprayed anyone with rocks behind me, so I felt pretty good. The Park Roads at HF and up the hill are something I believe I can do without issue, but the "down the back way" and other trips (I took with Matt), where I heard armor protest are simply not for me. If not riding along for fun, and helping out, I'll likely be found at camp with food and beer! Which is good enough for this old man.
And as soon as I figure out what's happening with the son, we are going to PINS and I will let Carol play too if she wants.

 

Camp is usually just as fun, if not more than the trail to it.

 

Now to find one that fits in the short bed!

Hey Josh found a trail from Killeen to Burnet old county dirt Rd it's probably a good 50 miles

 

Nice. Did you run it yet? Is it boring?

 

Gots to have some scenery, not just cow pies~!

 

This. If it's not pretty, or entertaining, then it's a dirt road in the country.

 

This is one reason why I haven't volunteered Caldwell County. There ARE some roads where there is that ancient Coastal ridge, but they aren't continuous by any means. And the view is not like Hill Country. So pretty, but not astounding, and not much water you can play with....

 

As Josh mentioned, a roof rack is going to be your best bet for mounting one to your truck! I had mine mounted on my camper shell cross bars

 

No I haven't read it yet I passed it it on my run when I was delivering drugs and I went on Google maps on the satellite view to see where the road went and it cuts from behind the airport all the way to Burnet

 

Hiya! Slowpoke! I think BigDaddy solved my issue - I don't really want one up there, I want a pop up I can store in the bed!

 

Most likely probably one of those gated county roads that they do utility work on

 

cuz I found another dirt road that goes from north of Kingsland all the way to San Saba but when I passed it to go check it out there was a gate on it

 

And then there's a county road that follows the Llano River for like 20 miles by the entrance to it you have to go onto somebody's property

 

I just need to drive around with a pair of bolt cutters on me
