That's actually a gravel bike. The frame has more clearance for knobby tires. Definitely capable of riding mild single track trails. I've tackled some pretty rough trails with my gravel bike.

Installed my Brute Force HC rear last night. I'd say my cuts were pretty straight. I leveled the bed and used a laser level for the cut line.

That first cut must be a little nerve racking! Good looking rig, where in the Great State are you located? I'm near Ft. Worth.

I will be in the future. I also am going to get a winch set up too. Crunching the numbers, it was more economical to go with the heavy lift first (instant off roading improvement) then get a less expensive kit to replace it for the heavy duty in a year or two.

Nice ride, my buddy just picked up a Surley gravel bike and swears by it. If you're looking for a camelbak or riding jerseys I'm looking to sell mine, just haven't posted them yet.

Looks good!! That cut on the tail pipe is a nice touch too. What'd you use, a sawzall or pipe cutter?

Check out this related piece of automotive history....

"In 1952, Karl Kling and Hans Klenk entered a prototype Mercedes-Benz 300SL in Mexico's Carrera Panamericana open-road race. They covered over 1900 miles of atrocious pavement at an average speed of just over 100 mph. They hit a buzzard at one point, destroying the SL's windshield and knocking Klenk unconscious. When he came to, he urged Kling to keep going. Forty-three miles later, they finally had a chance to stop and cleanse the car — and Klenk's face — of blood, bird bits, and shattered glass. The duo won the race, entering history as the most steely-eyed pair of Germans to ever set foot in los Estados Unidos Mexicanos."

Sorry, I am months behind in this thread and trying to catch up so forgive me if it has been asked before, but do you have a picture of how the bracket under the hood mounts? I am wondering if I can adapt a bracket to be used for a front hold down line when I transport kayaks. Thanks!

Edit: And sure enough, a few posts later was the video which shows exactly how it is mounted......Thanks!
