A rubber bed mat and some free banana boxes from Costco. Those boxes are strong. The one with the duct tape on it is as old as the truck, and has hauled some heavy loads. Three of them fit perfectly across the bed.

So true. I usually refuse boxes at Costco because I hate when they sneak those in and having to break them down for recycling. You could build houses with those.

I've recently been using a standard tie down but with paracord instead of a strap. Damn it's handy, u can send 2 different ropes over two different objects and use one ratchet

For groceries, I just use re-usable bags and hang the handles over the back tie downs in the rails (the adjustable ones). It is quick and easy and the height is right.

We have the reusable grocery bags with the plastic bottom reinforcement. Every thing stays pretty well put with the bed mat.

Oh! I got you now. You're talking about using paracord through ratchet ends. That's a great idea.

    Thanks!

I use it for coolers usually. One behind and one on top. Works well.
