Alight guys I'm coming in picture heavy. Used vehicle purchase 101. Change all fluids, regardless of condition of vehicle!

Broke the fill bolt loose first and then took the drain bolt off, drained it into a bucket to measure how much came out.
    IMG_1281.jpg

The fluid that came out wasn't the best and wasn't the worst.
    IMG_1282.jpg

Very dirty original filter that came out!
    IMG_1287.jpg

Magnets all covered in small shavings (I knocked the center magnet off while removing pan).

Pan cleaned and scuffed the edge with scotch bright so the gasket sealed properly.

    New clean oem filter!

O-ring installed and rubbed with clean trans fluid.
    IMG_1293.jpg

Scuffed the trans with scotch bright and installed the the filter.
    IMG_1294.jpg

Pumped new fluid back in (takes forever).

    Clean pan and fresh fluid!

I drained 4.5qts and only bought 4qts so I didn't open the overflow port and wait for fluid to come out. Just started it and ran through all the gears. Once it got to operating temp I shut it off. Going to pick up another qt tomorrow and finish topping off the trans.

    Another fill up!?!
Nice job and attention to detail! How many miles on the truck? Dealer told me to keep an eye on the transfer case oil for some strange reason, probably didn't know what he was talking about-

^LOL. True facts. I came from a EP3 SSM w/Work Emotions CR Kai & AP2 NFR w/Volk TE37 T/A before I purchased my two Tacomas. I thought buying a Tacoma would cost less in mod $. I was dead wrong.

I think the wheels would look great if you powdered them another color. Don't think they look great polished against the super white color. I dig the rims and love the simplicity of the TRD PRO.

Wished I never went so over board in modifying my Tacomas.

I'm older now and I'll be getting rid of the 2012. I'm debating on buying a stock TLX A-spec and leaving it as is. No rims, no lowering, no intake, no JDM sticker.... Just a cool color and model.
