More thoughts later and review after a few months but so far easy install, super stout, lightweight, mounts for other accessories and removable. Great customer service, quick delivery and well packaged.

    this is actually really cool.

    now i don't need a full steel bumper for a swingout! :D

looking at the last image though, can we daisy chain another hitch onto that system to tow a trailer around?

The initial hitch is tow rated same as Tacoma hitch I believe but check website for sure. I have the extra hitch for running bike racks etc off the swingout. this clears the tire and swings out away from my tailgate for access even when fully loaded with bikes.

It's nice but I'm curious why it pulls such a high price.

Trying to be like Wilco I guess. It's a nice unit and looks quality but I think it's a lot of money for what it is. Hey, there's a market for everything.

Yeah i looked At all the different full rear bumper and swing out combos and then all these type of hitch mounted versions.

My main goal was to cut weight, fit my MTB and be removable as this will Probably move to my wife T4R. I also Still daily the truck for now so i really Only need it on when going on trips.same for the runner when we get it.

The Wilco was the first on the list but when i went To get one a few companies stopped selling them and the price jumped from $600 or so to $900. At $600 i thought it Was still a good price point and met my needs. But jumping to $900 was a bit much. It also doesn’t come with all The stuff the rigd does. So after you add that stuff it comes to almost the same price. I also wasn’t to keen on some of the reviews Wilco got by some Members.

Then the rigd ultraswing came out and had exactly what i was looking for. It is only 70 lbs and is super stout. Better arm and build quality imo. Plus a lot of accessories.

The full rear with swingout is still a possible for the future but it would cost over $2000 and add twice the weight all the time. That may come when i pay This truck off this year and get subie for DD. But like i said Wife wants a runner and wants it modded so that may take up all my paychecks for the next few years lol.

This is definitely not for everybody but it met my needs and may meet others needs. Let
Me know if you guys got questions. I will Post back here and there as i get Out and abuse this thing and see what it’s made of.

Wilco is same price after you add all the stuff this just comes with. Still pricey i agree But cheaper then full rear swingout and lighter.

I really actually got it for the wife 4runner but am using it on my truck to get her into it before I get my full rear and swing out. Just greasing the wheels man.

First... that is a great looking truck. I would have loved black but mileage won out over color. Second, this is awesome for those of us that have to use our trucks as daily drivers. Any idea if it will work with jerry cans or are you stuck with rotopax?

Thanks man it’s all finally coming together and that was also a big reason for now. I can Remove it or repurpose it just for bikes or other mountable items depending on adventure. Haven’t looked at Jerry cans and it is fairly new to market. I’m sure if you contacted them they could find a way. I know @ragofabrication makes a molle panel for it and that could possibly be a way. Maybe they have something in the works.

Relocated backup camera tonight without cutting anything. Just took it out of tailgate and ran back under truck and ran up by rear passenger light and mounted to license plate bracket on the rigd ultraswing. Worked perfectly.

Read through all the threads and was like wait a minute so when i got Home i took It all apart and rerouted it and bam works better then the original mount in tailgate. Rear tire carrier is within 1-2 inches of red line. Time for a beer.

@ragofabrication when you guys making a camera relocation bracket?

Looks nice. I'm looking at the Ultraswing now as a way to carry bikes but also some recovery gear when needed. Anyone tried or have pics of an Ultraswing on a Taco with a highlift and/or MAXTRAX mounted?

I've got the ARB Summit rear bumper on my Taco with the original hitch. It looks to me like the ARB bumper sticks out a bit further than the original bumper, could someone please take a measurement from the hitch pin hole out to the inside edge of the Ultraswing? Want to be sure it will clear the ARB bumper.

Lastly anyone out there that has any cons about this unit?

In case anyone's interested talked to Rigd. There are actually two hitch pin holes in the Ultraswing, 1" appart. From the center of each hitch pin hole to the closest inside face of the Ultraswing measurements are 3.5" or 4.5".

Sorry i was out of town this weekend and just saw this. Did you still need measurements? It should work.

I just mounted the spare tire and extra gas can for now. My max track are on roof rack and hilift is in the truck bed. They make all the attachments for it or other items you could want to mount.

Only Con persay so far is the price.
