Front bumper blackout

I have a Silver 19 TRD Sport and been noticing that some 3 rd gens have the lower portion of the front bumper area where the license plate mounts blacked out and I like that look. It seems to me that the Off Roads come that way? Correct me if I am wrong. I would like to do that to my Sport. Is it a piece that is added to the front or that area painted from the factory? I may plasti dip mine if it needs to be painted. I am away from my truck so I can’t check if the pieces are separate over one piece.

The whole piece comes black from factory. I plasti dipped mine but didn’t hold up very well. If you keep an eye out in the market place you’ll see them often. It’s called the “front bumper lower valence”.

Plastic crap won't hold up to the abuse the front end takes. Take it off and have a body shop paint it correctly.

 

So that part is separate and comes in the body color or black?
