Hey all, I have found a clean 2004 tacoma double cab. White color and trd off road package. 126k miles, 1 owner. I’m in CA, so rust is not an issue.
Timing belt and water pump have been replaced.
    Asking price is $11.500
I have looked at blue book at it comes in at around $8-9500.
Any info would be great, i was thinking $10k cash.
I am coming from a 2013 access cab trd sport, looking for a little extra room and the 5ft bed

I hate it when people shows up to buy my vehicle and said "well kbb place your vehicle value at X and I can offer you this much only." I usually laugh and say, ok thanks and drive off. Most seller are reasonable and will usually come down a few hundred buck, not a thousand or two, just keep that in mind. And for those that come down a few thousand, usually something is wrong with the vehicle and just want to get rid of it quick.

If it's something you want and as clean as it is, it's worth every penny in my opinion.

In CA a clean prerunner DC still range between 10-12k and clean 4WD DC still range between 12-15+k.

In my hunting Ive found that everything here is true. If the seller is willing to drop their price significantly its a big red flag.

KBB in california is completely inaccurate and doesnt represent the market

That's a good price for a 4x4 1st gen double cab with low miles here in CA...don't expect them to meet KBB value, KBB does not reflect real world market on these things.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Seems fair, depends what kind of shape it's in though. Scrounge it over good! A lot of people try to hide things when getting rid of something.

KBB didnt mean anything to the dealer I got mine from, and it wont mean anything to the guy your getting yours from. He probably has a line of people willing to pay $11.5k so dont expect him to come down. I know I wouldnt go down if I were him.

I bought my 02 DC Pre Runner from the original owner with 55k original miles for $11k . This was 3 yrs ago in Socal and included in the sale was all the original Dealership paperwork including the Dealer window sticker from Cerritos Toyota

Almost pulled the trigger on one exactly the same as this one, except an 03. Wanted 13.5, got him down to 12.5 but just couldn't get the funding together (long story...). He had it sold like a week later (i'm assuming near his 13.5k asking price). If this truck is real and in as good a shape as it sounds, I wouldn't expect it to hang around long. If it all checks out, is what you want, and you can afford it, pull the trigger.
