Not sure if this is the right forum, but I have a question for the professional and semi professional wrenchers here. Let me start off by stating I am taking this to the shop next week, but just want to know what is going on.

Today we were sitting in line for the car wash in my wife's 2014 Corolla. The A/C was kicking then all of the sudden the air became hot. My wife said that it started doing it this week. We live in Texas and it is hot here, high 90's... After about 5 minutes the A/C kicked back on and started cooling. After another 5 minutes it did the same thing and kept repeating this cycle. Once we got home, I plugged in a can of refrigerant in and saw the low side was fully charged. Also checked the cabin air filter and it was fine. I just replaced it maybe 2 months or so ago.

What are the possible issues with the system? Anything quick I could check prior to taking it in?
