Like watching 2 fat girls beat the crap out of each other, outside a bar, because they're both pregnant from the same toothless redneck.

My guess is they’re going to offer him a new Prius since they can’t sell them to anyone.

Ok ok. I only got this settled last Tuesday. Props to the reddit doxing.

The outcome for me was as follows. I'm not stoked but I guess it worked out ok.

They were willing to give me the low end of the replacement value of the truck (but way above kbb or private party sale), which was taken from list TCPO prices of available similar inventory in the market and they said they'd need to go to insurance for any higher and who knows how that would end up. Maybe I got played there, maybe not. Seemed close to making me whole.

I did need a new car so I asked them to take take that amount as a trade in and sell me a RAV4 hybrid at invoice less holdback, which they obliged.

So now I've got a new family car and no Tacoma. I'll have to put this account on hold until I get my treads back.

Thanks again to everyone who helped. Sorry for the long pause as I waited for the deal to close. Also, excuse my hesitation in not publishing full vin, the open internet weirds me out.

Since OP does not want the full vin posted I won't post the carfax report.
On 5/20/19 (day before this topic was started) a carfax report was created by a dealer
    Maintenance inspection completed
    Front brake pads replaced
    Rear brakes serviced/adjusted
    Oil and filter changed
    Tires rotated
    Maintenance reminder reset
    Fluids checked
    Tire condition and pressure checked
    Brakes checked
    Engine checked
    Battery replaced

No mention of the issue in the report or the for sale add.
