4 years ago I purchased Bilstein 5100 shocks and Toytec coil springs to lift the front of my 2010 Tacoma. I've noticed within the last 2 months that my tires are starting to rub my inner wheel wells. After contacting Toytec (no explanation as to why) we were all made aware that my coils have fatigued an inch! Toytec basically said that's its uncommon but said that I should purchase the $1800 Icon lift to solve the problem. Seriously! Has anyone else experienced Toytec coil spring fatigue after 4 years?? Just frustrated with my current situation and possibly having to pay $$$ to fix it.

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
They sell replacement parts for a reason... even steel breaks down over time. You think 4 years is bad, the rear springs on Nissan armadas are bad as soon as they leave the lot.

Looking at your history it seems you’ve never been happy with your lift. 2.5 years ago you were complaining about it. Now you are complaining about a wear item from a good company.

I’ve had Toytec springs and 5100s on my truck for the past 4-5 years now. The springs are softer than thy were when I installed them. I’ve replaced all 4 shocks at one point as well.

Parts wear out. They wear out faster if you off-road/abuse them/fail to maintain them.

I’m not gonna put these companies on blast as it’s not their fault that wear parts wear out.

I have had my 5100s and toytec coils for a year and I love it. Like said above, driving is going to wear things out over time dude.

You should totally buy the Icons. Then you can come back here and bitch some more when the top hats crack.

The reason for me venting about Toytec, they basically said that I was mistaken and that their coils don't begin to fatigue prior to 10 years of use. I'm very close to OBX so the truck has been used for beach driving.
Once I was able to verify the issue with pictures (they requested), they just wanted to upsell me instead of addressing my current issue.

How do the Eibachs hold up with weight on the front? I've always run OME and currently the 886s but curious about the eibach.....I like the silver lol

Nope! Nothing has changed. Weighs the same, same tires, no wheel spacers or crazy offset.

image.jpg Are there different Eibachs? Mine say “620” on them, seem fine after 2 years with winch and stealth bumper.

The 620s are the ones that they typically recommend/go with the 5100s

I have the Toytec Ultimate's with the red springs for 9 years now. I just replaced the 5100's. The springs have not weakened one bit.
