Not sure how vehicle insurance is in Canada. However, situations like this should be covered.

I know that sucks, but file a complaint to the police and get that fixed by insurance and don't think about it anymore.

When people do shit purposefully to piss you off, don't fall for it. That's what they want, to piss you off and make you do things that will/may put you in more trouble. If you retaliate, you'll just enter their game and it will escalate and escalate more and more. When they see their efforts to piss you off don't have the expected results, they will stop spending energy on you and find something else more useful to do with their free time...

I know it can be hard to let them get away with it to a certain degree, but eventually, life and karma will but their bad actions right back into their faces

That’s what EVERYONE is waiting on! Also the back story. This is old beef, shit like this doesn’t go down in the casserole without some history.

OP hasn't responded in some time. Is he in jail already?

Also, if you know who did it, why not just do it back?

Thanks Everyone for your well wishes and concern. I understand vengeance eats up a person more than the original crime. I was ranting and venting as it was the first day and you do feel violated. The person who committed this crime is a very lose canon, not mentally stable, and we know he is just jealous of my vehicles and how well I look after them. Booze, drugs and late evenings just don’t add up for people like that
However Karma is a bitch that kicks like frightened horse, it will happen sooner or later, always does to people like that
A vehicle is just that, a collection of painted parts that can be replaced or repaired, just glad the wife and my family are all happy and healthy

Oh yeah and all covered under insurance, as it’s only paint and no other damage it will look pretty good when it’s done. The offending chemical was a gel type paint thinner used in the construction industry. The body shop owner knew exactly what it was

    Cheers

I feel for OP as I had a similar experience some years ago. Brand new $30K Solara, keyed on multiple occasions. I was livid. I once slept in the car with a baseball bat. Then I thought the better of it. Let insurance deal with it.

Hope whoever did it, gets caught somehow. I had someone. Real into my rig and steal a ton of stuff. But luckily no damage was done. Still was a very unsettling feeling though.

So go backwards from that. Who has bought or has access to that type of gel thinner? Let’s get this son of a bitch

Easy there internet Sherlock. OP isn’t going to dust for prints or analyze DNA. He said, she said cases usually end up a wash.

Besides, tit for tat won’t do anything but lead to more damage to the OPs vehicles.
