    Haha solid guess. Would need to be a big one to actually connect with the bumper but if it did the damage is certainly within reason. I hit one on the interstate in a lowered sports car a few years ago and it did quite a lot of damage. That being said it left behind plenty of evidence unlike here.

    I ran into a similar situation many years ago, truck came back with a rear fender folded up and the loaner didn't hit anything. This is why I let no one drive any of my vehicles.
