I have a mystery stain on my truck and was wondering if anyone has experienced something like this before and how to remove it.

So I had new wheels mounted, the tires were wet after (I assume Armor All or something). After I got home there were these stains kicked up, not sure if it was from the wet tires or something I drove over.

BUT, after I cleaned the spots off there were some stains left. The stains are smooth to the touch.

I tried soap and water, Goo Gone and rubbing compound to no success.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

Any recommendations to remove it? I tried some degreasing soap but it didn’t work.

I've heard cheap dealership tire gel to stain the paint. Seeing that you don't have a garage full of detailing supplies, I would try an All in One (cleaner wax) first and go from there. Some will suggest clay but I'm not sure how that will work on stains. Myself I have several DA's and shelves of products to tackle something like that.
Worse case bring it to a pro.

I start all tough cleaning with Dawn (yes the brand matters) and hot water and my finger nails, as road grime is frequently in my neck of the woods from landscaping trailers dripping.

Thanks for all the tips. I’m going to try some dish soap, then a clay and then go from there.

Skip the dish soap. If rubbing compound didn't remove, dish soap isn't going to either.

Maybe some ironX or clay bar. Worse case a magic eraser but make sure you polish and seal the area after
