    What gear ratio are you running? How happy with them are you? Is this your daily? And how much does your vehicle weigh?

    It’s about that time I throw either 4.88s or 5.29s in, just unsure of which.

    I got 5.29's and I am happy with them. Third gen tacos have 2 overdrive gears(5th and 6th) that really helps on freeway keeping the RPMs low enough. They really shine when you are in 4lo. Don't have to use the skinny as much. I don't know how much my truck weights, but I think it is lighter than new C8 Corvettes. I only added Jerry's rock sliders, triology skids, rear diff skids, front and rear metal bumper, 12k winch...so it is fairly light.

    Unless you plan to supercharge your 3.4, I heard 5.29's are the way to go. Higher RPM's, but better response and offroad.

    I'm running 4.88s and it was my DD. Weigh around 4700 when unloaded. Now that its my toy, I wish I would have gone with 5.29s for that extra torque. but the 4.88s aint bad

    Annual rib cook off is this Saturday at Back Forty Texas BBQ. Yours truly will be competing as usual and going for back to back 1st place finishes. I'll be there all day if anyone wants to stop by and have a beer. Ribs are done around 345-4 and I should have 3 or 4 racks to cut up and hand out. Judging is at 5. It's also bacon week, so there's that too.
