Not 100% sure what happened, but I think I may have flexed my truck so bad that it broke the passenger side of my back cab window.

Went down a rock step and smacked the hitch pretty hard. Next thing we knew there was an explosion in the cab. Craziest thing. Hoping once I get the cap off the damage is just limited to the window. *fingers crossed*

It looks like you have a shell. I think the handle on those might have hit against the window. Have had that same thing happen to my friends that own shells

    Wow.

Usually it’s the box coming into contact with the cab, someone running a MX bike/ATV bumper into the rear window.

I had my driver side rear window replaced, lucky for me, my insurance covered it without me paying my deductible.

Had the bed of my truck smack the cab pretty good, got a nice dent and crease on the drivers side (also cracked the paint) and a smaller dent on the passenger side. Didn't break the back window, but the dent is where the seal is.

Glad you posted this. I will use this to avoid running anything between my cap and cab/make sure that gap is clear. And take it real slow on the trail.

Thought I'd give an update. $575 OTD. Kinda shitty but honestly no dents and the only other damage is some mild damage to the canopy paint from the broken glass being trapped between the cap and the cab after shatter. Really has me wanting to sell the cap and do something else.

Anyone know how much I might get for my shell? It's carpeted, has a under roof netting, and slider side windows. Minor damages to the screen on the driver's side (bugs still can't get in), and the hatch window needs some new gasketing.

So you suspect the cap somehow hit the window? Or just flexing altogether?

Pics of the damaged shell and a semi-location could help narrow down a potential price or even what you originally paid (ballpark would be fine).

    Alright, Sacramento CA. Paid $3600.

Has screens and slide open side windows, dual locks on the hatch, carpeted with the attic cargo net. Most of the paint chips were from cars kicking up rocks.
