I had my frame replaced a few months ago. I removed my skid plates prior to taking my truck to the dealership any now I attempted to put them back on. The front part of the upper or front skid plates bolt fine but the rear two bolt holes do not line up, they are 0.5 inches to the side. Anyone have this problem? Anyone have any solutions!? Thanks in advance

Not trying to be obvious but make sure that the front end isn't hung up somehow that is causing the offset.

If there is no clear answer then I would bring the truck and skid to the dealer and ask why it doesn't fit and if they would be so kind, to please install it at no cost to you.

In short, there is no valid reason your OEM parts do not mount properly to the new frame.

Your skids won't fit because they are probably warped. You might have to "persuade" them to fit with a BFH..

Replacement frame, they have to jig these up now for replacement as they have run out of 'on hand' frames...

Probably just a quirk, heck, you got a new frame out of the deal, drill two new holes in the skid plate, thank your lucky stars you got a new frame and move on....or

You could try the dealer, take skid in, tell them your problem, see what is...

I got a frame replacement and the stock skid still fit after. Loosely bolt up the rear first, then tug the front into position.

Same thing happened to me. They just replaced the frame and put the skid plate in the back because it no longer fits. I haven’t had time to look at it. May need the holes redrilled.

While not exactly your issue, the holes in the crossmember on my 96 were stripped. I drilled them out and installed some larger diameter nut-certs. I see no reason why, if there is sufficient metal, that the same can't be done on yours. The tool itself can be bought for under $50.
