    There's no doubt in my mind that electric motors kick ass for towing and are better than internal combustion. They're perfect for it and they've been doing it for decades in other applications.

    The real question is batteries. How far can they go, and how quick can you charge.

    I think a lot of us would love a truck with 30,000 lbs of payload (assuming 10% tongue weight) but that is bonkers. That is why the Rivian is very interesting, as it potentially could have a very long range (400+ non towing). I am very interested to see what specs Tesla actually delivers as that will provide a ceiling for other automakers like Toyota and Ford to try and come close too. It is a very exciting time to be in the truck market.
