Never cook above 125* either. Like eating a old boot.i pull it at 115 and let it rest 15 minutes

 

300 for 1 min each side on a 2” steak

 

For a tri tip? A rib eye as hot as you can get a grill and about a minute per side.

His tri tip was flavorful but I felt like I was chewing on a piece of leather wallet I swiped from an old man’s back pocket.

Oh but yeah lots of little candies for the trip. Suck on one when you start getting a little hungry while driving. Helps kill the hunger and give a little energy boost

 

I rushed cooked it because their fat asses were hungry.

We’re actually going to Pismo this weekend for a camp night. I have a Coleman Roadtrip LXX that I bring with me for trips, not necessarily camping. Great for eggs, bacon, sausage links, beef patties, chili etc.

Everyone else is bringing their own and going a little fancier on the cooking, steak, short ribs etc.

 

Well you literally asked people for their opinions on how to do something by starting this thread.

Not even Friday yet.

 

I'll get some canned meats (chicken, albacore tuna) with the pop open can that doesn't require a can opener. Usually, find a variety of these "pop open" canned items at Walmart. Then the make your own trail mixers. My local Kroger has a big assortment of "bag your own" nuts, carob, and dehydrated items. Some of the beef jerky products are quite tasty.
