2.7 power loss with AC on?

    I'm not 'sure' either. But I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't. Maybe one of our resident techs will find this and weigh in.

    There is a difference in the ECUs, but this particular function should be the same. WOT is WOT, regardless of gear box.

    I've driven a few different makes of vehicles in situations where you just floor it from a standstill. I have always noticed a power loss with the AC on. If the compressor shut off, and that power went back into accelerating the vehicle forward. There is a good chance I didn't notice that happening.

    They all loose some power true, but in my Tundra which is the 4.7 v8, it has no noticeable power loss when the AC compressor turns on and off, while AC is on. Obviously it's because it's a far more powerful motor, so the power loss is not noticed while normal driving. This is my first 4cyl Toyota and wanted to make sure it was normal to have brief hiccups in power while driving normally.
