    Depends on the MPs. I had a PLT of them in my HQ company, they were pretty decent. As a combat arms guy running an HQ, they were the closest thing we had. Helped me keep a bit of my sanity with the paper pushers.

    No shit, ran my best ever PFT (Physical Fitness Test) while still lit from the night before. Guessing that I was at that perfect point where it didn't effect my balance but numbed me enough to not care about the pain...

    Good an explanation as any. Pretty much standard around any combat arms unit. I’ll never forget the morning after a long weekend pass we were standing (barely - more like weaving) in formation waiting for the Company Commander who was late, the First Sergeant was about to take us out for the run when we heard a car in the distance. We saw the headlights coming right towards us and when it got close we saw it him. He pulled right up to the head of the formation, opened the door, stumbled out in a shower of old beer cans , salutes Top and turns around and says “Lets go pussies!” :D

    He was the best CO I ever had. I’ve got a hundred stories about shit he did that still make me shake my head and wonder how the hell he got away with the shit he did and get where he was. Actually I know how. He was a wild, badass, womanizing, irreverent drunken lech, yet he was also the most capable, competent Commander that ever wore a uniform. He’d smoke anybody on the PT field. He did shit that would make you piss your pants with laughter but you’d follow him to hell and back. Don’t know if they make them like that anymore. We’ve had some rough years since then. . .
