Service required message?

My truck tells me I have service required soon when I start the truck, but there is no information as to what service is needed. After about 10 sec the message disappears and their are no further indicator lights. I've tried searching through the menu but don't see anything for servicing or maintenance. Truck had a fresh oil change before I bought it, 2019 with 13k. I'm guessing they didn't reset the oil life monitor correctly. Where do I look for the service information on the display menu?

 

It's just for oil reminder, check owners manual to reset. Goes off every 5000 miles. It's really annoying when you rack up miles quick.

The warning light will blink for a moment 500 miles before your next service. It will stay solid when its due.

 

2nd generation was push the trip meter while turning on the key to get rid of it. Mine just came on yesterday in my 3rd generation and the oil was changed 800 miles ago when I bought the truck. I don't have my manual at the moment, is it the same for the 3rd generation to reset it?

 

Rotate tires every 5k and oil change every 10k. Look and the warranty and maintenance booklet in your owners manual to get a list of maintenance items and tasks to perform.

Well that is why I was wondering what it was for, I've only put maybe 800 miles on it, dealership changed the oil just before I bough it, so in theory it shouldn't be due for awhile.

 

You can reset it the old way or you can also use the steering wheel buttons thru the cluster display.
