    Thanks!

The license plate bracket will be a flip-up style, as I opted for the hidden hitch (i.e. the hitch being placed behind the plate) for more clearance and a cleaner look, as I don't tow regularly.

As far as the hitch rating, most (if not all) aftermarket bumpers are not officially rated, most likely for liability reasons. The site states "Receiver hitches are not officially load rated, but built plenty beefy. Receiver tube is reinforced with 2”x2”x.120” tubing spanning between the mounting plates." That said, I'm not concerned.

Well.... My bumpers are good for the hi lift but waiting on convenient funds before the rock sliders are ordered! Had a set of weld on but decided I wanted to go with bolt on instead

Make sure you have plenty of anti-seize to lather up the points that sit on the frame rails.

Good plan! I usually antiseize the crap out of anything fasteners I touch, but I'll liberally lather all connection points

My buddy in the NE has bolt on sliders and I've seen what can happen when that goes untreated and water, mud, salt and road debris gets caught and sits in there. Luckily, he caught it in time

I believe it! Reminds me, I need to spray the undercarriage with fluid film again before winter

Always a pre-winter routine for me too. Wash, clay bar, wax, pressure wash the undercarriage, clean up and paint the sliders and fluid film everything.

Possibly camping Saturday at Tommy Thompson state park in Crivitz. Any recommendations of trails or things to see. I’ll have my 120 lbs dog (not other dog friendly) so indoor activities probably not gonna work.

Ive spent years up there, we launch our boat exclusively out of Tommy Thompson State park. I don't know of much in the way of wheeling, the Pipeline does run around that area. I can recommend some cool spots to get out and stretch your legs and walk the dog if you are interested.

The pipeline is about 30 miles from Crivitz. 55552 on the MVUM. There's also tons of old logging roads over there.

Welcome! I'm in Milwaukee County as well.

Received a welcome surprise from my powder coating shop today - my bumper was finished within 24 hours! Normal lead time of two weeks, but they were able to sneak it in; sandblasted and near-matte black powder (to closely match the rest of the truck's black accents) was the final selection. Even went the extra mile and coated the license plate bracket and some bolts.
