ok everyone I’m brand new. Heck brand new to any forums. I’m sure his question has been addressed several times so sorry. First I have a 19’ DC trd off-road with a manual trans. I have a Leer topper but otherwise besides a basket and awning it’s stock. I was unhappy to see how much sag happened when I put on the topper. I planned on doing something, lift, add-a-leaf etc... I live in Colorado and my wife and myself are teachers so we spend a fair amount of time taking the kids camping and light to medium duty 4 wheeling over the summer. We were dedicated tent campers. Last month I had a Starcraft RT 10 off-road pop up with no toy deck (nice and short) and a lock and roll hitch offered to me at a very fair price. Anyway I got it and the wife loves it. My buddies are sure giving me a hard time! Anyway with all the gear, dog, and trailer it sags like a mother.

I am looking at ideas for a small lift with an increase in spring rate. Here is what I am thinking. No air bags. OME springs (med duty) about a 2in lift and then see how it sits, then put in a proper front spacer (my guess is a 1in) to get the original rake back with the topper on. I know adding the camper (my guess 300 lbs of tounge weight with water) plus topper etc.. will then sag it but my hope that this combo will make it more level while towing. I also plan BFG tko’s in the next size up that fits (can’t remember the size). I had planned on doing all the wrenching myself which seems fairly easy for my skills.

Any help would great be appreciated,
    Thanks

I just added a set of https://www.amazon.com/Firestone-24...refix=firestone+ride+rite+toyo,aps,200&sr=8-3 on my Taco for the same reasons. (no trailer but RTT, Shell and a ton of gear). I liked that you can change the pressure and keep the ride quality the same based on what you are loaded down with. only put them on a couple of days ago but I am liking them so far. will test with weight this weekend :)
