    Hey guys,

Looking for a recommendation on a solid Warn winch with a synthetic line that'll fit nicely in a C4 Hybrid bumper. I can't seem to find anyone online that's used a Warn winch- just Smittybilt, ComeUp, etc.

    Bumper:

    https://www.c4fabrication.com/product/2016-3rd-gen-tacoma-hybrid-front-bumper/

I'll be using it very occasionally if I happen to get stuck in snow or sand. Overkill, maybe.. but I think I'll be glad I have it when the time comes. If for such mild use, you guys suggest that I don't need something as burly as a Warn, I'm open to hearing other brands! I'm hoping not to break the bank.. ideally I'd spend under $1200 on the winch. But at the same time I'm a firm believer in buy once, buy right.

    Thanks in advance!

Update: C4 has recommended Warn VR or Zeon 10s or 12s!

Sounds like you’re not sure you need one.

I've found myself really wishing I had a winch when it dumps a ton! I think it'll be really nice to have a backup plan- no it won't be getting excessive use but it'll definitely come in handy.

Sounds like you’re what they made the VR for. I don’t have much experience with it so I can’t say anything about it.

Warn is probably the most popular and reliable winch on the market. People buy smittybilt because they are cheap and don’t use it enough to worry about it.

I have two Warns both are over a decade old and still running strong,11 years and 15 years.

    What C4 recommend is perfect.

Awesome- I'm thinking that the VR10-s will be perfect for my needs!

Keep in mind that there will be interference on the grill support with an integrated solenoid. I believe the VR can have the solenoid removed and mounted elsewhere.

If you are not 100% set on synthetic line I recommend the Warn XD9. I run the XD9i and they are bulletproof.
