Have you tried making phone calls with android auto? My mic seems to not work when I call someone through it. Was working earlier in the day.

If you're on the latest firmware (June 21), you can reverse the prev/next buttons via the settings in the screenshots above.

Awesome, that was helpful as the backwards tracking is annoying.

Anyone that uses CarPlay from this unit have issues with the mic? Internal or with the external plugged in? People seem to not be able to hear me clearly, lots of background noise.

Also, has anyone updated the firmware on this unit? If so, can you do it via a USB memory stick into the CP/USB port?

    Thanks!

Firmware update was easy, just a flash drive into either USB port. You will lose your settings after updating firmware, unfortunately.

Mic audio has been fine according to folks I've called, however, when in a call via CarPlay, volume is considerably lower than music volume -- I have to crank things up to hear the other side. I've emailed Joying about this.

Inspecting the files on the June firmware update, it does change a setting for mic volume on ZLink. This may solve the issue you are having.

    Thanks for the reply!

I tried two different USB sticks and both read as “usb update error” when trying to update.

Is this the correct way to update?
    -Car Settings
    -Factory Settings
    -MCU Update
    -select USB file
    -select update

No, you shouldn't have to do anything -- it should be autodetected. Make sure your drive is formatted FAT32. Unzip the contents of the firmware update and copy to the drive. Your directory structure should look like this:

    USB Drive:
    ├── 6521_1.zip
    ├── Allapp.pkg
    ├── config.txt
    ├── lsec6521update
    ├── oem
    │ ├── 3Ddongtai_V1.8.apk
    │ ├── DabPlayer-pad-H2.12-20180505.apk
    │ ├── EasyConnected.apk
    │ ├── TPMS_USB_U06_M.apk
    │ ├── Torque_pro\ v1.8.54.apk
    │ └── YHX-DAB+Y1.80.apk
    └── updatecfg.txt

Hey All- After reading through the tread I can't tell if this Joying unit can view two different cameras. Can someone clear it up for me?

@donnyphase Thanks for that info! After pulling the files out of the main folder (like the directory you showed), it worked! Fixed the CarPlay mic issue and the music tracking issue. Loving the Joying experience now.

And I am having the same volume issue as you where the call is much lower than the music, then when the call ends... I am blasted with super loud music.

That and figuring out why the reverse cam quality is so shitty are next on the list.

Reverse came will remain shitty -- the resolution on this unit is much higher than the Entune unit, but the resolution on the cam remains the same, so the image is being stretched to fill the screen (think digital zoom on cameras). I'm waiting on a second cam wiring harness to come in, then I'm going to swap the stock backup cam with a Nakita that I splice into the harness. Cam is here, just waiting on the harness, now.

That’s what I figured. Please let us know how the Nakita camera goes.

No, it cannot, at least not that I can figure out. there are 2 male RCA and 1 female RCA ports, and you end up having to daisy-chain them together, so unfortunately I don't believe it can accept a second video input.

So I pulled the trigger on the joying unit. It should be at my house today. I also grabbed the soche mount and will try to mount/install everything tonight. I have a jbl system so hopefully I don’t come across any hiccups. Fingers crossed!

Getting ready to start making a new amp rack, I am building a future amp rack that will fit more or less universally. Currently I have my micro amps, but I do want to swap them out for larger class A/B amps to get some better sound. I was thinking of making a mount that goes behind the drivers side rear cubby, but its too limited on space. I can use a 19 inch long amp there... hard to fit 10 channels of amp in that small of a space.

So, I am going to design one that fits in the under seat storage box. This box is pretty unused right now by me, I have the factory jack in there along with some bungee cords. All those things can be easy relocated somewhere else.

I have some amps that I am going to use as my template and test amps, they are a pair of old infinity kappa 54a 4 channel amps and a 202a 2 channel amp, they are big, powerful and look really nice looking.

Does anyone know what this is supposed to be plugged into and what it does. Can’t seem to find out where it goes.

Pretty confident that's the stock GPS antenna. Not necessary for the new HU.

There's a better way to do that. I think Metra makes an insert that goes into the dash where the OEM one does and it has the standard USB and 3.5 mm connections. Looks more stock and stuff. Let me see if I can find it.
