Hey everyone...thanks for welcoming me onto this forum. I have a question:

Are there any outstanding issues with 2019 Tacoma 4X4 TRD (front) brakes? I bought the truck new with 6 miles on it. At the 400 mile point, I noticed a few gouges and/or tooling marks on BOTH of my front rotors (see picture below of one area). Plus, there is the start of a groove in the upper middle portion of the rotor. I have been carefully stopping during this break-in interval with no panic stops, so I don't think I'm the problem. Plus, I have two other cars with far more miles with essentially perfect looking rotors.

I took my Taco to the local NW Tucson dealership and they essentially brushed this defect off as a simple rock scrape and refused to fix it as a warranty issue...as they stated that it's perfectly safe. So, I told them I'm going to elevate this issue as I expect a new car to be new. Has anyone heard of such an issue or have any thoughts if I'm overblowing this situation?

I don't see a safety issue here. Looks like a small casting flaw and a ding. If you have a compressor, blow out the calipers/pads.
Keep an eye on it. If it gets worse, you have it reported on your service history.

Yeah dude I wouldnt do a damn thing under warranty for those rotors, you could probably pay the shop to turn them rotors if you really care about the cosmetics but that shit isnt warranty.

Does the truck stop like it should with no scraping noises, vibrations etc? If yes, dont worry about it.

Looks like a simple casting defect to me. Nothing to worry about.
