Wife & I decided to sell our gently used Casita. 2014 17ft Spirit Deluxe. Many extras. We are the original owners, non smoking & pet free. $700 custom mattress. Always stored under my carport. Located in Baltimore, Md 21224. We bought a cabin & property in the Appalachian mountains so we no longer use the camper. I figured I would mention it here first before listing it online.

Hey I have a wolf pup. Here are some of the things I did myself.
Mounted a TV with a bracket I made at work and the paws international one
Took the front off the seat for somewhere to put our shoes
Reframed under the bed to make it stronger
Made a cabinet in the bathroom with a plastic cheap mirror off another one
    Made a small shelf
Cut a hole for a small garbage bin to fit under the sink
Mounted a piece for the table on the back
Dual propane tanks. Only one is hooked up but I use the other for many things including our generator that runs off propane
    Battery on/off switch
    Cover for the burners
Not sure how handy you are but these things were simple. Just took my time. Lots of other ideas. I love the latter one but I dont have kids lol.
I also added a small fridge under the back bunk where I keep beer and stuff you can grab from the back door

I like the trash can idea, out of the way and it doesn't move around when traveling.

Ya some of these campers come bare bones but I like it so you add whatever you like. Some of what I did was odd but just what we wanted

Thanks for the ideas, how did you mount the small cabinet in the bathroom? The cover for the stove is really nice as well. I liked the latter idea, but my son said he doesn’t want one. That duel propane holder has to be money well spent.

Propane thing was cheap and for sure it's worth it. Cover is good on the highway for safety I think insane something ever flew off a car. Looks nicer too
The cabinet was just screwed to the studs when you find one. The burner is likely the most useful. Just a few pieces of pine and stained it. But gives you way more space.
There's a Cherokee site I got the ideas from and there's others I didn't get to yet. Lots of cool people

Awesome! I just traded in a Summerland 1800bh, small and a lot of wasted space throughout the unit. I did a lot of similar mods, cut in access holes to unused spaces, added the dual propane tanks and I put a tool box that I mounted to the rear bumper. Also put a battery kill switch mounted to the battery box.
Nice! We just got it in June but we love it so far. It tows really well also, might be something to that wide track axle thing. I’m not using weight distribution or sway control either.

I need a beast like that to haul mine with. I’m sure you get a little better than 8 mpg with it. Haha

I’m usually between 8 and 10 on the highway. I tow in New England though, so it’s usually through mountains where we camp, lots of hills. With that truck though, just set the cruise and 70 and it gets it done with very little fuss. It’s definitely overkill for the size of the camper.

That’s what I’m looking for. I want something so in the future if we get something bigger I don’t have to buy a new truck. Would like a 5th wheel next.

I really toyed with the idea of a 5th wheel. I didn’t really want to be tied to a heavy duty truck though. I also don’t have a great space to park a 5th wheel at my house. Maybe when I grow up!

Looks to be well cared for Dave, GLWS. For anyone thinking about a molded fiberglass camper, this is probably the most popular model out there and it has been for a number of years.

Yes they do. In fact they make a near clone of my Rpod (also Forest River) that we are considering.

Getting the Satellite ready for our first camping trip this weekend. We are definitely late getting started, but having a baby in May doesn’t allow for much camping in the early summer.

We will be heading to Kitty Hawk, NC this weekend for a few days.

So I'm looking for a micro. Something in like the 12' range that I'm not even going to know is there, but gives me a place out of the weather to crash without having to set up a tent.

I'd probably want AC on it, just to take the edge off in the summer. I don't care about a bath or shower, exterior cooking is fine.

I like the look of the No Boundaries 10.5 but no one within like 400 miles has one I can go look at.

Also like the Taxa Tigermoth but seems really pricey for what you get.

    Any other recommendations?
