Ordered a Tacobox from Marlin, got a manual shift FJ tcase as well. November was hunting season, and then the holidays so I haven't made any progress really. Will be working on it more in February.

Same here, ordered mine last May, still patiently waiting. I anticipated a year wait though

I hope it's not that long. I only ordered because I got an email indicating that have limited stock available. I called the other day to verify and they have 40 to 50 available so I pulled the trigger thinking it will be a quick turn around. They build awesome stuff but sometimes takes a while.

Yeah you might get lucky! I know when I ordered I had 10 people ahead of me, just counting the days now. I ordered through RST and got a discount + free shipping so I figured I could wait.

BTW love the build, I always enjoy people pushing the limits of what's normal

I want more info on the engine swap, Specifically the wiring side. I have a supercharged 1gr now but it sounds like dog farts and I have access to a supercharged 1uz which sounds like Angels singing in comparison and I bet it will get better fuel economy. I'm also Canadian btw where r u in this vast country?

Nice, 6 weeks is what I've been told so I hope it's true. I know Marlin can have long wait times but if you ordered after their last run of parts ran out that might be why. They just received their current run of parts so fingers crossed we both get hooked up with parts.

Thanks, figured I'd go all out on this one. Kind of regret it a little since it's so overkill and not as stealth since I'm going to run down the highway with it I'm sure I'll get a lot more attention from police. My last truck I daily drove and had no issues but it didn't really draw too much attention. I'm still legal with heights were I am but I know it's going to get attention.

I haven't tackled the wiring yet. But everything has been plug and play with exception to 3 plugs, but since I'm getting rid of the 4x4 computer I may not need these plugs. Also may have to switch some wires around on the plugs that plug into the engine ECM from the body. I'm just east of Red Deer in Alberta.

Yeah when I talked with Wyatt the other day he said they pretty much have all of them in and the ones for the 4.0 autos are ready to ship out. I have a 6 speed though and he said they're still doing a little testing with proper oil levels apparently before they'll ship them out

Yeah the manuals have a different output spline for the trans and input for the Tcase, not sure why that would have any affect on the oil level required for the gearbox though...

Got my buddy at EMF Rod Ends to make me the custom tie rod end for my tie in steering. I got an extra one made while he was at it in the unlikely event I have a failure. It's 3/4" so lots of beef, here are some pics.

Love emf rods and they are definitely worth the money. Just wish they would throw up a sale more often haha

Clayton is so backed up all he does is basically live in his shop machining. One of those products that he has so much demand as it is he doesn't need to put on a sale. He does build awesome stuff and I wouldn't use anything else.

Never did put up a picture of the ram I'm using. The weld in inserts are just going to be used for mock up. I'll get some tube threaded once everything is mocked up. Using EMF Rod Ends ball sockets, and I have a set of EMF small heims for the tie in ends.

Got all my steering parts together and made some solid progress on the truck. Here is how the steering is looking. Need to add tube and spacers on the tie in steering. The EMF stuff is so nice.

Clearanced the front end a lot to get good stuff on the 42s. I didn't want to tub the firewall so ended up moving the axle forward to clear and cut till the headlights were getting close to the tires.

Got some frame plating welded in and the steering box in place as well as the panhard bar frame mount tacked in and clearanced.

Just a little update. I haven't done anything major to the project in a while. Been working lots and getting read for a trip to Africa. I did however receive my Crawlbox late summer. I'm hoping to have the truck completely finished by June might be earlier, depends on how much time I get between now and then. But here are some pics of the box. Was nice to finally get it. I spent a lot of the summer wheeling and road tripping around in my 4runner. I really need to get this truck done because I miss hitting the hard trails.
