Long story short. I've been with DTV for over 20 years. In the last month they've pulled 3 of my favorite channels and 5 within the last year. Their customer service is the (offshore) worst it can be so before I call and start canceling I want to make sure I know where I'm going. From what I can tell most people are going Hulu and Netflix. I do have a smart tv but that's as savvy as I get. I assume there are apps I can download? I have good internet but don't enjoy watching off a tablet or laptop so the tv is the key. Anybody in the know wanna help a guy out with some info? Thanks in advance!

Amazon prime, Netflix, Hulu, youtube TV, plus several more out there. Smart TV is good, but you can also use things like chromecast, fire stick, roku, or even a smart bluray player to get streaming services on your TV. Some smart TVs are better than others as far as what apps are already on there or can be added.

Hulu is good if you want to watch regular TV channels. Netflix and Prime have original movies and series and lots of old movies and TV shows. Really just depends on what you want as to which one or combination to have. What do you want to watch?

I had been using PS Vue for about a year but they got rid of NESN and that was the sole reason I chose PS Vue. Got rid of it about a month ago and started using YoutubeTV, been happy with it and a few bucks a month cheaper than PS Vue.

i have prime, Hulu and netflix....not sure what else there is as far as other services, ever see those meme's where they just spend more time than it should take to actually watch something? yeah they're all just like that...netflix has some good shows from 2000-2014 if you want to catch up on or rewatch or have kids, hulu- basically if its been on tv in the last year its on there...prime is good for classic movies and tv and you can rent newer movies straight from the tv....not trying to jump off into the offended land but if you are one of those super inclusive people netflix is where you wanna be...otherwise you'll be like me and rather read a book or chase mosquitos...good luck in your quest for better options

Make sure your modem and router can handle the bandwidth, otherwise you will get the dreaded buffering sign all the time.

I have basic fiber optic service through TDS and a bundle service of some sort. But also have Hulu and Netflix. With Hulu you can get live TV but I haven't done it yet. I have two TV's in the house, one is a smart TV but the main TV isn't and I use a Chromecast to watch Hulu and Netflix. Pretty awesome using a tablet as your remote control.
