Looking to buy sliders. I am not a hardcore offroader and looking at them as more of an insurance policy on a lot of the torn up mining trails and forest roads I find myself on.

Leaning torward DOM grade bolt on? Am I screwing up?

Paint myself with primer and rustoleum or pay for powdercoat?

    Thanks.

If you go with bolt-ons, make sure you lather the frame contact points with anti-seize. Paint them yourself and save money on powdercoating for other mods. My brother wasted money on PC'ing his sliders and after one trip to the local ORV park, they were all tore up. PC'ing sliders or skid plates is a waste of money unless you are parked at SEMA.

Thanks! Are bolt ons a waste of money?

Depends on your budget and intended use. I tend to over build my rig and wanted peace of mind. I went with weld-ons.

I have bolt on’s. Easy to install. Multiple good brands out there. Don’t need to find a welder.

    Each have pros and cons.

I don't have sliders, but living in the rust belt the ones I get eventually will be weld on. I can't imagine the amount of stuff that will get in between the frame and slider brackets and cause rust.

A buddy of mine on here in the NE discovered his before shit went south. I think that turned me off of bolt-ons.

There's a guy in the anything welding thread I think shmell offroad or something like that. He makes a bunch. Seen them on the trail look solid. Not sure the price but he seems like a cool guy. Most likely a better deal then mainstream name brand. Worth a PM for sure. From experiance an awesome investments no more door dings from jerks who cant park.

Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words

Unfortunately I don’t ship sliders. Get quite a bit of business locally (more than I can handle sometimes) so I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the logistics of shipping the larger items that I make. Judging by the username Georgia Native I feel like it’s a safe bet he’s probably not in SoCal haha. Again thanks for the kind words. Anyone in SoCal or anyone willing to make the drive to me I would love to build you some sliders. Fair price and installation included
