Has anyone experienced with the newer Tacoma’s the shattering in the transmission while braking from about speeds 30 mph Down to about 10 mph. It seems to do it every time I’m about 20 mph while slowing down. I have not changed wheel size or anything to the truck. Please help

It sounds a lot like what's been posted here. I experienced this same thing but started to improve after about a thousand miles or maybe I'm just used to it. If you have an off-road model like mine, you might be feeling the brake pump engage that's common on those models. Still, think it shouldn't happen but I've taken my truck to two different dealerships when I first got it and they both told me the same thing.

Seems to do it when I brake harder than normal. I've noticed it less and less as I've driven longer. That could be due to breaking in, or me adjusting to it subconsciously...

Either way, doesn't bother me much. I understand I drive a truck, not a sedan.

    Try it in S3...
S3 eliminates all torque converter lockup.
Braking cancels full lockup in D, but does not cancel flex lockup.
Flex lockup is used during acceleration and deceleration.
One job of flex lock is to smooth the shifts; but, if the flex lock program or parts are making the clutch grab and/or release when it's not supposed to...

I just bought my truck yesterday, I noticed this too. Im not too worried about it. Its definitely there, but just feels like a normal stiff truck and some driveline stuff.
