Hi Everyone. New member, coming from a 2019 Ram (which is now the wife's truck) , and it's the best move I've ever made. (I did have a 2006 impreza 2.5i a while ago, so I did come from a Subaru, but not a WRX or better).I do have one pressing issue that I haven't been able to see much about though. My only regret is putting all the cash-on-hand i had available on the down payment, rather than setting aside 700 for what sounds like a very necessary OVTune.

Anyways : at 2k RPM, especially in 3rd gear at 33-ish mph, there's a sometimes subtle but often very high pitched noise coming from the truck. I can replicate the tone by whistling, but the sound itself does not sound like a whistle. It's more a small component vibrating extremely quickly type of sound. Has anyone else experienced this?

My dealer's service department when i described it claimed it's probably a normal noise related to air intake, but kindly offered to do a ride-along this afternoon to confirm.

Even stock, it's such a joy to drive. I actually look forward to getting behind the wheel, whereas in the Ram I was indifferent

Edit : UPDATE : Service manager drove with me, and told me it was a "normal intake noise". I kind of doubt that, but whatever.

I've heard that whine also. I've got an '18 SR5 AC 4X4. I'll investigate when I have time, and post here if I find anything. Let me know if you find anything out. BTW, Welcome to the Taco Bar!

If it's the intake you can replicate it in neutral and a stand still.
