    Hi Everyone.

New guy here. I hope everyone is healthy and well. (Including your Tacoma)

I have a 2004 Tacoma V-6 with 188,000 miles. Had the frame done and practically rebuilt almost everything on the truck. Love my Baby Boy.

When I am in third or fourth gear holding a steady speed, let up on the gas then accelerate, the engine has no power for a few seconds. then let up on the gas then hit it again and it's OK. Recently had the Coil replaced cause it fried, wires replaced, fuel filter, timing belt, tune up last year. Two weeks ago it started running horrible when the coil was replaced. This has been "ghosting" the engine for about a year. Drove the truck to Florida and it started getting worse on the ride back.
I really like my mechanics (Garage) and have been with them for over 25 years. But this is stumping everyone as it runs great but this happens to me when I drive it. Been driving Standard for 4 decades.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening or has anyone else experienced this issue ?
Thank You in advance to all that reply.

    Reserected from the dead.
sounds like a throttle position sensor issue. The 2004 were drive by wire as well. No throttle cable from gas pedal to throttle body.
