Glad my motorcycles and cars are all old enough to not have this garbage technology. After driving several vehicles with it in several countries, I find it to be a pain as the AC dips, lights dim, and I am happy to pay an extra $0.0001 in gas for the 14 seconds I sit at a stoplight.

I think it’s taking so long for these guys to reply because they haven’t figured out T9 on their jitterbugs.

Start stop isn't as much about not wasting gas, it's about lowering emissions.

But, people don't care about that so manufacturers just say it'll save on gas.

I hate all cars that do this because the steering wheel locks up as well.

Rode in an F150 with ESS. It is a super dumb Rube Goldberg feature to put on an big ass gas truck. Felt like a real jalopy every time we took off from a light, shaking and rattling.

My wife's CT200h has it, but it's a hybrid so you can't even tell. That car is fun to drive....

My MIL has it on her Caddy and it annoys the hell out of me. She likes to back up into our driveway when she visits. It sounds like someone is out in front of my house that doesn't know how to drive a manual trans. She does a four point turn to back up and it does that start stop 4 damn times.

If this thread was an Eskimo village, we would run out of ice floes.

My wife's bmw has this, and you can turn it off and it won't come back on (unless you reactivate it or put it in eco mode). There really isn't much significant lag when the engine restarts... And until someone mentioned it, it does sound different than a cold start when first getting into the car.

All that being said, my wife hates it and turns it off.
