Car wont start alarm lights blinking

My 2001 Tacoma was working perfectly. Cleaned the corrosion from the negative side on the battery put everything back and now it won’t start? Each time i open the door there is this little ticking noise which it never used to do until right now lights blink each time the little ticking noise comes on Please help.

 

Does it have an aftermarket alarm installed?

 

Honestly I’m not sure? Previous owner Didn’t mention anything?

 

look under the dash on driver's side. If you see a black box with a bunch of wires coming out of it, it's a car alarm control module. So if you see that, you probably have an aftermaket alarm on the truck

 

Can you tell us your location and if your truck was originally sold in Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi? The reason for the question is the Gulf States Toyota distributor in Houston TX installed an alarm system when the trucks arrived in the US. That system can fail. I recently experienced failure and had the system removed.
