It's a 1952 M-100 that I rebuilt...still not done though but it's finally useable.

 

How did you mount the ballasts? Velcro? Double sided tape?

 

No that's cuz Ivan!

 

Heavy duty velcro. My current retrofits has the ballasts mounted the same way. Never an issue and easy to remove for service.

 

Dirty grease slinging sob.

Cost as much to reboot as a aftermarket axle but I haven’t seen to much praise for aftermarket axles around here.

 

That doesn’t sound too bad, how many miles were on your truck when you decided to boost?

 

Ever since I smashed my muffler on Terminator, I’ve had a bad vibration/noise that I couldn’t figure out. I realized some time ago that it was my low hanging crossover pipe vibrating against my skid (pushed into the skid from the muffler hit). TIME FOR AN EXHAUST REROUTE NOW. LOLOLOLOL guess I earned it.

 

I have put my HD Napa axles (the NON reman $120 ones with HD boot) through some serious strain with 35’s and wheeling and they haven’t given me any trouble. Just LYK

 

160k on these OG Toyota pads. Weren’t even squealing yet.

 

A good bath and some interior/exterior detailing TLC. Trying out a new (to me), tire shine as well.

Nice job. I just finished painting the grille and headlight filler pieces as well. Hope to get the hood painted next week. Conversion looking good man.

 

Tried a hypertech to fix my speedo, and it didn’t work for me. Was directed to this alternative for less than half the price, and only took 15 min to install. It is easy AF! I’m going to do a thorough write up tomorrow.

This was my part number. $120 USD. LIFETIME warranty. If it breaks, swap it for a new one at Napa. The quality of this particular axle is great

 

Spend some time with the polisher then a good coat of wax. I’m debating de-badging the truck all together. Friend did his and it looks super clean but he’s lifted, on kmc’s and 33’s. Mine might be too stock looking.
