    Guys,
I have 35k on my original tires( the stock ones) ,the wranglers ones.
I’m not impressed by them but will wait until theyr done to get a new set of beefier wheel/tires.
How many miles should the stock tires last before i really start considering changing them in y”all experience ? I live in VA, with little snow.
    Thanks

Literally just replaced mine at 35k. They where pretty worn from off-roading and driving around with a bad alignment for a while but they could have gone another 10k probably.

A tire shop will have a gauge for measuring the depth of tread remaining.

@Mad Mark, i have the feel that’s where i am right now. Can probably go 10-12k more. What did you replace them with?
DanoT, that sounds simple enough but I’m a rookie, first truck ever, so it didn’t even come to my mind, thanks man!

Besides the number of miles, age can also be a factor. Look for micro-cracking in the sidewalls. If you bought your truck used, the other wildcard is whether the prior owner maintained the right pressure. Still, 35k is pretty good.

I've had the AT's and they're great in anything, I want to get the 255/85/16 but worried about MT's overall perfomance.

E6400ultra,i ain’t a big fan of the looks ( i know it’s just personal and it’s based on nothing but personal preferences) but otherwise , i felt the tires sliding when it was raining a few times , and we had a bit of snow last December, the truck did not hold as i was hoping it would. ..but i have no ideas what a normal/ average length for tires should be .. so all feedback is great feedback. It seems I’m doing good for 35k..
    Thanks mate !
