This is without a doubt the best bang-for-your-buck mod you can do to the automatic trans 3rd gen Tacoma. The Shift Sense Pro from DZ Custom Innovations basically turns "S" mode in your Tacoma into a proper shifting transmission. I have all 3 versions of the chip for it that will go with. The current chip in it is the "V2" that allows you to select from 3 different shift maps. There is a large thread here in the forum with tons of info and happy users.

You sure can. The Shift Sense Pro is basically doing the S-mode shifting for you without you having to move the shift lever. It works beautifully. There is no effect on anything else other than transmission shifts.
