Is there a trick to get the cover off to access fuses on 3 gen Tacoma. I did a search but come up with not much. I read some guys broke the tabs off and trying to avoid that. I could buy a Meso cover but they are not available right now. If someone has one to sell I am interested. The fuse panel in the cabin is the one I need access

Fuse box in the engine bay or inside the cab? The one in the engine bay you have to mess around with a little bit. I used a flathead screw driver for the tabs since the ones on mine were incredibly stiff.

I just put a small flat head screwdriver under the tab and pried it up. It's much easier if you remove that side kick panel rather than trying to work around that corner. I left mine off after I installed a couple of Add-A-Fuse. The fuse box cover that is... Thought maybe I'd buy a Meso cover but they are never in stock. No matter, there's not much that can happen to the exposed fuse box since it's tucked way up there.

I just left mine off anyway (yes I did break it) because I used a fuse tap and can't get a MESO cover. It's tucked away and I don't see it unless I am cleaning my floor mats, so no worries. Just throw the cover in the glove box and done deal.

You and many more have taken this approach. Dang Toyota engineers. The placement of that fuse block makes it really difficult for the average owner to access.

That looks like shit... and with only two posts, both about this cover, guessing it’s your store.

Thanks for that link. I'm adding a circuit, buuuuuuut, of course I broke the tabs on the OEM cover. This will replace the cover and allow me to run the wire I need.

I should have waited! Thanks, but the one from Ebay will be here in a day or so. I'm still gathering parts for Phase 2 of my radio install project, so there's no rush.
